Governors Issue Procurement Month Proclamations

Thank you to the governors of Louisiana, Maryland, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, and West Virginia for issuing proclamations in celebration of Procurement Month. Five of the proclamations also recognize NASPO’s 75th Anniversary and NASPO ValuePoint’s 30th Anniversary. Click on the states to view their respective proclamations. If your state is not included in this list, please send us your proclamation so we can share it.

Warehousing and Logistics Case Study Released

In NASPO’s newest publication, dive into five states’ warehousing and logistics during the pandemic. The case study includes lessons learned and best practices in emergency stockpiles, storage and distribution plans, cooperative agreements, and risk management.

NASPO at 75:
1962 – First Conference on the West Coast

In 1962, the organization selected San Francisco for its Annual Conference, taking NASPO to the West for the first time. Presentations at the meeting included:

the Chief of the Economic Section, Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice, describing the Department’s efforts to combat identical bidding;
the Attorney General of California who spoke about ethics in purchasing;
the Chief Deputy Purchasing Agent, Los Angeles County, about cooperative purchasing.
