The National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) kicked off 2025 by hosting its annual Exchange conference. Making history in two significant ways, this marked both NASPO’s first-ever event in Las Vegas and the largest Exchange in the organization’s history. Taking place this week, March 4-6, the conference expanded its audience beyond state central procurement offices to include procurement professionals from cities, counties, school districts, state agencies with independent purchasing authority, colleges and universities alongside state procurement officials, small businesses and suppliers – all gathering to foster stronger procurement partnerships.
The NASPO Exchange brings together procurement professionals and suppliers through expert-led educational sessions and engaging One-on-One meetings, to support more transparent, efficient, and collaborative procurement processes. Over the course of the event, nearly 1,100 participants will have the opportunity to engage in a total of more than 11,000 One-on-One meetings to discuss public needs and possible solutions.
“Expanding the audience for our 2025 NASPO Exchange marks a significant milestone in our mission to promote government excellence,” said Lindle Hatton, CEO of NASPO. “By including a more diverse range of procurement professionals, we are fostering deeper collaboration that will lead to greater efficiency and innovation in public procurement.”
In addition to expanding its audience, the 2025 NASPO Exchange conference will highlight the newly-formed Procurement Professionals Alliance (PPA), an organization of which NASPO was the catalyst, whose focus is on unifying the procurement profession as a whole and its cooperative, RFxPremier.
“The incredible turnout and expansion we’ve seen at this year’s Exchange reflects our commitment to evolving with the needs of the procurement community,” said Priscilla Gandy, Deputy Chief of Conferences and Events at NASPO. “The enthusiasm we’ve witnessed from both our state participants and our new attendees confirms that breaking down silos between different levels of government procurement is not just beneficial—it’s essential for the future of public procurement excellence.”
Building on the success of this expanded format, NASPO is excited to announce its 2026 NASPO Exchange conference scheduled for March 10-12, 2026, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The event will continue to build upon the achievements of 2025, reinforcing NASPO’s dedication to foster meaningful connections within the public procurement community.
