Course Description:

Type: self-paced, online

Description:  This Procurement U online course is designed to introduce public procurement professionals to basic steps involved in using financial data to analyze suppliers’ organizational performance. The course provides an overview of accounting principles, discusses the contents of financial statements, and reviews selected analysis techniques, including the use of ratios.

The course concepts will be valuable to any government employees who participate in a determination of
responsibility during the evaluation process. Learners should be advised that the course includes
mathematical concepts that may be challenging to beginners.

Suggested Audience: Public procurement professionals or other government employees seeking to gain a
basic understanding of financial statements and analysis techniques that can support decisions related
to supplier performance or stability
